1. Service and contract
A web enquiry or place request does not itself create a payment duty or guarantee a place. A contract is formed after the family receives and accepts a written offer identifying the provider, programme, online format, timetable, total price, payment schedule, cancellation and refund terms.
2. Programmes and online delivery
- Hungarian intermediate and advanced Chemistry matura preparation is available online nationwide.
- IB, Cambridge IGCSE and A Level tuition is currently available only as individual live online tuition.
- Intermediate- and advanced-level Chemistry matura groups are capped at 15 students. Another Matura group may open if one fills or enough students need a different time.
3. Published fees
The written offer states the exact hours, materials and access included, plus any deposit, instalment, tax and foreseeable additional cost.
- The current course fee is always the total fee shown on the relevant course page and in the written offer sent before payment.
- Individual online tuition costs HUF 8,000 per 45-minute lesson; the written offer sent before payment repeats this rate.
4. Cohort confirmation and reservation
A place is confirmed only after the written offer is accepted and its reservation condition is met. If a published cohort cannot be confirmed by its stated deadline, the amount paid for that cohort is refunded or, at the family's express choice, transferred to another cohort.
5. Absence and catch-up
A missed group lesson does not automatically become an individual lesson. A notified absence receives the necessary materials and targeted catch-up work; a restricted recording or tutor recap may be supplied where the format and permissions allow. Individual cancellation and rescheduling deadlines are stated in the written offer.
6. First-week guarantee, withdrawal and refunds
If the student or parent is not satisfied after the first week, 100% of the amount paid will be refunded, with no reason required.
The first-week full refund applies in addition to statutory withdrawal, termination and consumer-remedy rights.
For a distance consumer contract, statutory withdrawal or termination rights may apply. If performance starts before the statutory period ends at the consumer's express request, a proportionate charge for service already delivered may become due. The written offer explains the applicable notice and deadline.
If the service is not delivered as agreed, the consumer may seek the remedy available under law and the circumstances, including correction, replacement, price reduction, termination or refund of the undelivered part. No term limits a mandatory consumer right.
7. Materials and academic integrity
Access to course materials is personal and non-transferable. Students retain rights in their original work. The tutor teaches, questions and gives feedback, but does not write assessed submissions for a student, invent data or guarantee an examination or admissions result.
8. Conduct, safety and termination
Participants must communicate respectfully, protect other students' privacy and follow safety rules. Serious harassment, unsafe conduct, cheating or account sharing may lead to proportionate restriction or termination. Fees for undelivered service are handled under the accepted offer and mandatory law.
9. Complaints
Send a complaint to info@chemistrytutor.hu with the contact name, course and a concise description. It will be investigated substantively within a reasonable period. If no agreement is reached, a Hungarian consumer may contact the competent conciliation board, consumer-protection authority or court.
